Scanner welding |
Programmable focusing optics (PFO) are scanner optics for welding. Two mirrors position the laser beam to every defined position within the processing field. This enables spot and seam welding without having to move the workpiece or the focusing optics. PFO is available for pulsed and cw solid-state lasers and allows for various focal lengths and processing field sizes.

Using the same design as the BEO optics with regard to the optical representation, the new CFO series of optics has been developed. The standard version CFO optics utilizes sensors that control the functions of the optics: for example cover slide monitoring. The cover slide fits in a casssette for constant monitoring during the machining process. The central supply interface comprises the cooling water connections, the connections for gas and cross-jet as well as the electric interfacing to the laser control. A media monitoring device controls the temperature and flow of the cooling water and shielding gas. All CFO optics are equipped with the telepresence function.

Welding, Cutting, Drilling |
The BEO focusing optics have been in industrial operation for many years and have proven their industrial capability in a wide range of applications. From stand-alone machining stations to complete production lines, the compact and robust design can be easily integrated into the required system. All BEO focusing optics have a modular design composed of a collimation unit, lens and cover slide. Further optional components allow adjustments for a variety of processing applications.
The BEO D 25 is used for welding applications with lasers of up to 300 Watts of laser power. Its compact design makes it ideal for integration in automatic assembly machines.
The BEO D 35 is designed for welding tasks and, with specially developed nozzles, can be easily adapted for cutting and drilling requirements. It is used with pulsed and cw solid-state lasers.
TRUMPF Laser also offers the BEO D 70 for large working distances with small focal diameter – suitable for welding, cutting and drilling tasks.

Cutting |
Compact cutting optics YH 27 and YR 30 are used for cutting applications on 3D workpieces. These robust optics are often used with robots. An integrated feature – the capacitive distance control – compensates for minimal deviations of the focal position that may be caused by the robot. The distance control feature ensures high machining quality with solid repeatability.
