Best beam quality from the disk

The TruDisk 1000 is TRUMPF’s newest disk laser

“Low investment and outstanding industrial suitability – this distinguishes our new disk laser, the TruDisk 1000,” explains Dr. Rüdiger Brockmann, TRUMPF product manager. With 1 kW of output power, the new TruDisk 1000 cuts and welds thin sheets, delivering optimal results, such as the finest seam geometries. It works with the best beam quality of all the cw solid-state lasers from TRUMPF. The TruDisk 1000 boasts a beam quality of 2 mm*mrad enabling the use a 50 micrometer laser light cable which permits high processing speeds. The excellent focusability can also be used to achieve a longer processing distance such as in remote welding. Another completely new feature in the TruDisk 1000 is the control system TruControl, a software that has already been successfully used in lasers from the TruPulse series. As with the TruPulse lasers, a removable touch-screen operator panel with turn-push button makes this new laser control system easy to use.

Precision cutting, welding and robotic 3D cutting are ideal applications for the TruDisk 1000. Minimal floor space requirement is a further advantage of the newest TRUMPF disk laser, making it efficient and particularly well suited for industrial uses. And the TruDisk 1000 costs about 40 percent less than its predecessor, the HLD1001.5. Like all disk lasers from the TruDisk series, the newest model is based on standardized components which yields both system modularity and economic efficiency.

The TRUMPF TelePresence Portal facilitates convenient and secure maintenance worldwide also for the TruDisk 1000.
