At the “LASER 2007. World of Photonics“ trade show TRUMPF introduces its TruFiber 300. “With this development, TRUMPF demonstrates its fiber laser know-how, gleaned from more than 20 years of industry experience in high performance lasers for material processing,” says Jens Bleher, Managing Director of the TRUMPF Laser Technology business field. As a single mode fiber laser, the TruFiber 300 has a laser power of 300 W and is best suited for precision cutting and welding.
This addition to its product line emphasizes the focus that TRUMPF places on applications. The TruFiber 300 achieves a beam quality of M2 < 1.1, thus expanding the spectrum of pulsed and cw lasers from TRUMPF in the performance range under 1 kW.
With proven TRUMPF quality, the TruFiber 300 performs reliably and is ideal for industrial purposes. Modular design and components compatibility, as well as comfortable control and operation are guaranteed. From the laser to the optics, TRUMPF is here a one-stop shop for all your needs, too. Due to the separate layout of laser module and supply unit, the laser module can be easily integrated into any system. More than 20 meters can separate the supply unit and the laser module, which makes set-up flexible. Up to three laser modules can be connected to one supply unit, facilitating cost-effective work with single mode beam quality on several workstations.
The TruFiber 300 is qualified for the precision welding of batteries, hard disk mountings, pacemakers, sensors, electro-mechanical components, thin sheets and foils. It is also a good choice for scanner welding and always in demand if the application requires particularly narrow weld seams.
Even when it comes to the most detailed cutting, it has almost no limits. Application examples include thin sheets, stencils, stents or even cell phone casings.
As with all TRUMPF solid-state lasers, the TRUMPF TelePresence Portal enables easy and secure maintenance worldwide for the TruFiber 300.
