At the Industrie 2008 trade show in Paris, TRUMPF Laser Marking Systems AG will introduce the new TruMark 6020. The marking lasers round out the TruMark 6000 Series portfolio, which comprises diode-pumped marking lasers of various performance classes and wavelengths as well as active laser media. This allows TRUMPF to provide the user with a laser suitable for any marking requirement.
Newly developed components have been able to increase the output of the TruMark 6020 Nd:YAG laser by more than 50 percent compared to the VMc3 predecessor model. The greater efficiency along with unchanged diffraction limited beam quality shortens the process times of marking and increases productivity. The TruMark 6020 is particularly well-suited to mark metal or plastic components, which are used in automotive industry, aviation industry or even medical technology. The legal requirements for the traceability of products are high in these areas in particular. TruMark 6020 is a marking tool that guarantees process dependability for the reading of barcodes and data matrix codes.
The other marking lasers in the TruMark 6000 Series that have been available since last year feature significant increases in performance over the VectorMark compact (VMc) predecessor models for infrared, green and ultraviolet wavelength ranges. The TruMark 6130 Nd:YVO4 laser emits infrared light at 1064 nm. The TruMark 6230 with green light (532 nm) and the TruMark 6330 with ultraviolet light (355 nm) are available specifically for the processing of plastics and semiconductor materials.
"With the TruMark 6020, we have completed the 6000 Series. Already the first three vanadat-laser types with wavelength ranges of 1064, 532 and 355 nm were broadly accepted by users. Now we can offer customers the TruMark 6020, a marking laser that significantly exceeds the performance of the predecessor VMc3," says Dr. Eckhard Meiners, managing director of TRUMPF Laser Marking Systems AG.
