Ditzingen, July 16th, 2004. – Its 10,000th laser of the TLF series delivered TRUMPF, the leading supplier of industry lasers and laser systems, at the beginning of July 2004 to a very proud end customer. The TLF 5000 CO2 laser with an output of five kilowatts is the beam source of a TRUMPF TRUMATIC L 6050 laser cutting system. With this high-performance laser cutting system for cutting oversized sheets (6000 x 2000 mm), the job-shop subsidiary of company Avermann Maschinenfabrik GmbH in the German town of Ichtershausen-Thörey has once more updated its machine fleet. It is already the company’s eighth TRUMPF laser system. Prior to this, TRUMPF sent on its way to South Korea the 12 kilowatt TLF 12000 with serial number 9,999 for steel manufacturer POSCO.
The TRUMPF Group began producing laser cutting machines in 1979. Since 1985 TRUMPF has been building its own CO2 lasers. TRUMPF’s leading position on the world market is punctuated by its production of more than 1,000 TLF lasers alone in 2003. The production facilities for these lasers are located at the corporate headquarters of the TRUMPF Group in the German town of Ditzingen and also Farmington, Connecticut in the US.
TRUMPF TLF CO2 lasers also come with capacities of up to 15 kilowatts. In addition to high capacity, TLF lasers from the HQ series also offer the best possible physical beam quality. Thanks to radio-frequency excitation and magnetic bearing technology, TRUMPF TLF lasers are renown for their high level of reliability. This is proven by the company’s leading position in the field of CO2 high performance industry lasers.
The compact and low-maintenance TLF CO2 lasers are the heart and soul of the world leading TRUMPF laser cutting machines. TRUMPF supplies the reliable beam sources to both OEMs and directly to users.
