Optical components for beam delivery and high power CO2 beam shaping.

Together with our lasers, you also receive optical components of TRUMPF quality to be integrated into existing and newly-designed production facilities. They have been specially developed for rough industrial everyday use, and over time have been tried and tested by the thousands all over the globe. For beam delivery and shaping of high power CO2 lasers, only direct water-cooled copper optics with maximum radiation resistance and surface quality are used. The precisely processed optics housings are air-tight and provided with sensors to monitor the mirror position, in order to prevent uncontrolled radiation leakage. The mirror mounts are equipped wich quick exchange devices so that monitoring, cleaning or changing a mirror does not require a subsequent realignment of the mirror.

The mirror units that bend the beam by 90 degrees are available with apertures from 43 mm to 80 mm and a maximum load capacity of 20 kW. With their high thermo-mechanical stability, they permit the implementation of even demanding beam delivery tasks over large distances.

TRUMPF 2-way beam switch
The 2-way beam switch consists of a radiation-resistant protective housing with integrated safety detection. The bending mirror blocks, moved pneumatically on a precision linear slide, are provided with quick-change mirror mounts and electric mirror control switches.  An ASI box is used as the electrical interface.

TRUMPF mirror focusing optics TRS
The mirror focusing optics of this series have a free aperture of 50 mm and are characterized by a pivot axis so that the laser beam can be aimed at a defined angle to the workpiece. The optics are fitted with welding nozzles for coaxial and lateral gas delivery. The focal length of the available focusing mirrors range from f = 100 mm to f = 300 mm.

The mirror focusing optics of this series have a free aperture of 50 mm and are characterized by a linear axis to define the position of the laser beam on the workpiece. The optics are fitted with welding nozzles for coaxial and lateral gas delivery. The focal length of the available focusing mirrors range from f=100 mm to f=300 mm.

Articulated beam delivery arm TLA 60
The TLA 60 is the flexible beam guide of a CO2 laser beam from the laser to the focusing optic; e.g., in 3D applications with industrial robots. It is characterized by high beam position stability in the overall work space, achieved with rigid swivel joints, and mounted free of play, and double-walled, bend-proof radiation protection tubes. The one-time adjustable reference surface at the connecting flange, enables articulated arm exchange without requiring readjustment.
