By taking advantage of TRUMPF’s cumulative experience and skills, you can be assured of the best possible quality from the very first part. The machine body is constructed in a cast mineral composite that dampens vibrations caused by axis movement, guaranteeing high process accuracy. And, the laser output regulator constantly monitors the power input to the workpiece to ensure that it lies within the programmed tolerance limits. The integrated machining process simulation and collision detection functions guarantee total process reliability. Another integrated function, ControlLine, ensures that the distance between the cutting nozzle and the workpiece remains constant, thus delivering cutting results of reproducible quality.

The machine software incorporates cutting technology tables that define the ideal machining parameters for specific laser types, eliminating the need for additional programming. These tables can be used, for instance, to automatically adapt the laser output to the cutting speed, and optimize the edge quality of every part.

High productivity

With its hard-wearing, low-maintenance direct linear drive, the TruLaser Cell 3000 operates at high speed with extreme precision over a wide range of dynamic operating parameters. The optional beam switch allows two beam sources to be connected in parallel. By connecting different solid-state lasers, you can enhance your manufacturing capability. A wide range of materials can be processed reliably, including highly reflective metals such as copper or brass. The advantages are multiplied if you integrate your machine into a TRUMPF LaserNetwork, which will allow you to increase your capacity utilization and achieve even higher cost savings by making more cost-efficient use of your laser machine. The work area is quickly and easily accessible through the automated doors at the front and wide removable side panels. Its design facilitates automation, an issue of particular interest to operators of high-volume production lines. An automated TruLaser Cell 3000 can operate reliably around the clock, enabling you to amortize your investment even faster. Unplanned downtime is minimized by the remote diagnosis function that allows our maintenance specialists – with your prior approval – to access the control unit online and solve any problems.

Flexible, innovative solutions

FocusLine Professional automatically adjusts the focal position and diameter. This gives you the triple advantage of rapid transition between processes, manual adjustments are eliminated, and focus position is automatically adapated to the type and thickness of material being processed. The focus diameter can be widened in any ratio between 1.1 : 1 and 3.8 : 1 by the beam expander. In practical terms, FocusLine Professional means minimum unproductive time and maximum flexibility. The single-focal-length strategy enables you to cut materials of different thicknesses without changing the focusing optics. And, even if you want to switch from cutting to welding, all you have to do is swap process adapters. Users who handle a large number of separate processing jobs involving many different materials stand to benefit most from this innovative solution. In this case, the increase in productive time and related cost savings can be quite considerable.

The modular, height-adjustable workpiece table with its flexible clamping system can be fitted with a 2D cutting device, rotary axes or customized devices, depending on the process and the nature of the workpiece.

User-friendly design

Every last detail of the TruLaser Cell 3000 was developed with maximum user-friendliness in mind. This applies to the ergonomic, swivel-mounted control panel and equally to the machine’s accessibility and safety features. The TruLaser Cell 3000 has an easy programming system that enables you to advance quickly from the initial design to the finished part. TruTops Cell offers you the convenient option of programming your machine on a standard PC. The optimized user interface simplifies the task of modifying programs on the machine and transferring them back to the office – in either case, you have access to the same set of laser technology tables. All processing data are stored and any job can be repeated identically on the basis of stable laser parameters.
