Dual station mode with CO2 and solid-state laser
Loading and unloading of the TruLaser Cell 7040 in productive time
The flexible use of the entire working area and at the same time having low production costs: That is the advantage of the TruLaser Cell 7040 with solid-state laser and two-station operation.

Productive processing
Users who want to flexibly use the entire working area of their machines and at the same time load and unload small parts while the machine is operating have used the two-station operation of their TruLaser Cell 7040 with a CO2 laser for many years now. Since the beginning of 2011, TRUMPF has also offered this option to customers who have decided for 3D processing with solid-state lasers.
Safe processing
Due to the typical solid-state laser wavelength, however, there are higher requirements for laser safety measures.
The two-station operation of the TruLaser Cell 7040 fiber combines a patent registered combination of reflection and absorption. Thanks to this, loading and unloading during productive time is also possible when using a solid-state laser.
The main characteristics
- Reflection
All of the components mounted on the sides are made of highly reflective materials in order to deflect the laser radiation towards the cabin roof. - Absorption
The interior of the cabin roof is equipped with specially coated plates which optimally absorb the wave length of solid-state lasers and reduce their effect so efficiently that it is well below the legally acceptable limits for the awarding of the CE certificate.
Laser scanners in 2 corners of the safety cabin enable extra safety for the operator. They monitor the upper area of the cabin and switch the laser off immediately as soon as a person or object enters this area.
